Arizona... fun. friendly. Naturally Grand.
For Spring Break this year Billy thought it would be fun to do something different. So he made us reservations at a resort in Arizona. The Arizona Grand Resort. It was totally awesome! I had never been to Phoenix before and I totally loved it. We left on Sunday morning and stayed until Thursday. If you know Billy then you know that each day is packed with fun things to do. First off let me just say that the resort was so great! It was beautiful and comfortable and friendly. We had a suite and so it was roomy and spacious. There was a water park with a lazy river and 2 giant slides and several swimming pools a really nice fitness center and spa (which I loved). Great restaurants and gift shop and a "Starbucks" yeah! I'm sure there was more but that is all I know about it.
Really I think I might like to retire to Phoenix every spring. Just until it starts to get unbearably hot, then head back home. lol I had never seen cactus like these cactus. I promise they were as tall maybe taller than telephone poles!! They were like trees! I want a "Giant Saguaro" cactus in my yard somewhere. They were Beautiful!! Really I'm just amazed by their beauty. I'm telling you we have a really creative and awesome God!~ He really does things up right! It just makes me happy to travel to other parts of the country and see something different than what I'm used to. I mean really its a cactus, but what a cactus it is. Thank you God for your creativeness!
So while we were there we had golf lessons from a golf pro. Her name was Lisa and she was from Great Britain. She was such a saint for putting up with Billy and I. Luke was great, he knows what hes doing, unlike his crazy parents!! We learned alot and for three days we would meet with her for instruction from 8 until 12 noon each day. The last day we tried to put into practice what we had learned the previous days. So we figured out that we need to stay off a really good course and maybe just stick to the driving range for a while. lol! No really, we had a great time learned a Lot and we need to practice, practice, practice... I may never be any good, but I will have fun doing it!
While we were in Phoenix, we ate at some really good and interesting places, shot hand guns, went swimming, got a mesage, shopped, went to the movies, drove race cars, ate some more, played ping pong, drove around and just looked at the beautiful scenery and really enjoyed our time together as a family. Oh yeah and we did learn to golf, which was the whole point!!
I wonder what Billy has planned for us next year? Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be fun.
how fun!!!!
