I'm happy to report that the basement walls were dug, concrete poured, they cured for a week then the center of the basement was dug out. It was amazing to watch.
Then the floor was poured. Here are some photos of that process.
This is the basement floor trusses. Then they put up the batter boards for the concrete floors to be poured.
In the mean time life at our home was football games, Homecoming and something called a Haboob.
We had concrete floors poured, time for them to cure, then at last walls started to go up.
But before that happened, there was more football games, Fall Festival, Halloween and a small snow storm that lasted about 5 minutes.

I have other pics somewhere thats more of the inside, but its hard to tell what it is, so maybe I will post them later. We at this point are waiting on floor trusses for the second floor. They were supposed to be here on Wednesday but we were told they wouldn't be here till Friday. So we will finally be moving up. All the inside walls are up and I can see details about each room. Also my front door came yesterday, so excited, it is beautiful. Maybe I can get a photo of a picture of it up to show.
Here is the front door. Billy found it online and we got a good deal on it. I have had meetings with Mill guys about cabinetry and meetings with people about appliances, changed my mind about 17 times. I'm sure they want to kill me. But all in all it has been fun and a learning experience. Plus, Billy and I haven't killed each other, Yet!
